Re: sent a parcel signed for

Depends on the value of the item, if you want EB to look into your account and the history of the buyer.

Re: sent a parcel signed for

Have you asked if a friend or family member could have signed for it and forgot to tell them before you call their sorting office to talk to their postman?
Or have they called their local sorting office?

Re: sent a parcel signed for

Did you send it to the correct address?

a neighbour could have signed for it..

stevebills 08-18-2014 12:48 PM

Re: sent a parcel signed for

value of item is £20

Bunneh 08-18-2014 12:55 PM

Re: sent a parcel signed for

If you sent the item to the correct address, you will be fine as it is signed for and will have the area that it was signed for at on the online tracking and ebay/paypal will see this.

Re: sent a parcel signed for

happens with businesses, someone else signs for it and either buyer does not get it due to it sitting in postroom or been nabbed or misplaced......check signature and call business, you will prob find someone works there with that name eg. receptionist/postroom...its happened to me, buyer goes quiet once you inform them of the facts......

RetroRedneck 08-19-2014 04:35 PM

Re: sent a parcel signed for

This happened to me with an £80 item.

The buyer mentioned that he never received it, so I checked the sig name. Turns out his neighbour signed for it.

Realer 08-19-2014 05:36 PM

Re: sent a parcel signed for

You sent it recorded so your okay, you have proof.

Bunneh 08-19-2014 07:30 PM

Re: sent a parcel signed for

Wether th buyer signed for it or a business partner you are covered as your tracking shows it was delivered to the address.

It is up to your buyer to figure out who signed for his parcel, it should not be hard for them as you get a hand written name and signature on the tracking.
If he opens a case it will show as delivered.

Hi guys , the parcel is sent by air mail. Tracking result now is: deliveried . the buyer sent me email before and after X'mas said she hasn't received the parcel , and I have replied said it's still during transport due to no update information online at the time .

And the buyer has now open a case request a full refund . i have copied the signature on line and sent it to her ( it's her name ) . What I should do next ?

I bought a women's running jacket at a discounted price from Aldi and sold it for a profit on eBay, always interesting to see what they are selling off at even cheaper prices that
can then be sold on eBay for a higher price

SHE SAID SHE HASN'T RECEIVED THE PARCEL .

IT SHOWS THE PARCEL WAS SIGNED FOR ON THE 16 DEC online now

it said during the transport when I checked it before and a few days ago and so I replied her email and told her to wait a few more days .

And she open a case yesterday to request a refund said not received the item .

Re: sent a parcel signed for

I would wait for the buyers reply.

If there is no reply and it gets bumped upto eBay I cannot see them deciding in the buyers favour if they buyer has clearly signed for the package (stranger things have happened on eBay though)

Ive had two past cases on real.accounts whereby item was signed for but buyer claimed it.wasnt them.
Both times i was fine.
The story later unfolded on both cases that it was their flatmate that signed for it :-)

Send a quote to shipping company saying what the problem is.

Also ask the buyer to fill online crime report and send you reference number as you suspect that item could have been stolen. Its a bit harsh but helped me few times.

I would rather lose it than have eBay look into your account, I hate problems like this.

Agree for the low amount but I do see the OP's principle on this...

oompaloompa 01-13-2015 02:33 PM

Re: sent a parcel signed for

why should OP refund if they have tracking?

it could be a number of reasons why someone else signed, inc a scam, or postal mistake and you should do some investigating with the name, but bottom line is you have a receipt with the buyer address on it with corresponding tracking, closed case.

what is the point of getting tracking, if you cannot submit it when needed.

danshan 01-13-2015 03:03 PM

Re: sent a parcel signed for

You always submit tracking sooner the better

didi 01-14-2015 02:32 PM

Re: sent a parcel signed for

I have sent a copy of the signature I got from royal mail website and sent to the buyer and ask her to check with family members or neighbours . Not hear anything from her for 2 days now , not sure if she found the parcel ....it's £50

The ups and downs you got to love them

It really good you got a result, however I would be more worried about your account and about how its going down soon if you don't change your selling strategy
