PayPal withdraw again 3-5 working days???????
 

Hi
I have a year old paypal account and my ebay account is top rated. I don't sell much so I withdraw £50 every week and normally receive it straight away. I withdraw £50 on 1st of September and today on 5th of September I tried to withdraw £50 but it said that it will take 3-5 working days for them to process.
Anyone else having this problem?

The first was labor day, so no idea if it's automation or what not. I at times get the deposit same day to my prepaid and 90% of the time it's next day but at times it can take a few days. So just relax and wait for it. :)

Has your aged PayPal account been converted to the new look PayPal?

Seems to be like this on the new look accounts. All the old classic look accounts I have do 2 hr withdrawals.

The withdrawal I did said 3-5 days last night, that was on the new look paypal.

I wasn't sure if i'd somehow not been redirected to the UK site, and it processed as a USA withdrawal.

Messing around so much at the moment, wouldn't have thought they'd have been able to change so much in such a short space of time.

An account that is near to 2 years old of mine has always been 2 hour withdrawals up until the other day it went to 24 hours, then to 72 and back to 2 hours 2 days later.

It is still the old look PayPal as well.

I have a new look PayPal with no eBay attached and even though I wouldn't say its aged, it does receive frequent payments and it is still 72 hours but they seem to be pushed through in 24.

UPDATE:

On the account that was taking 2 hours yesterday on the old look PayPal it has now gone to the new look PP and received the same message as the OP on a 2 year old account:

"You asked us to transfer XXX.XX GBP from your PayPal balance to your bank account, and we're processing it now. It usually takes 2-3 working days for transfers like this to be processed, so you should see the money in your bank account by 10 Sep 2014. Please refer to the PayPal User Agreement (accessible via the Legal link in the footer on most pages on www.paypal.co.uk) for further information."

Im finding it the same now, is very annoying as shouldnt take this long and is harder to keep track of what funds you have

I have the new look paypal and withdrawals are instant like usual.

Perhaps it is a glitch. We all know how unreliable they can be.

I now KNOW paypal has a split personality.

Some of my accounts are on classic, some are not.

Thing is the ages of creation all vary.

It is a worry waiting for funds, given the weekend is nearly here too.

I think it helpful to raise concerns to see what might be happenin.

Apparently there is a problem with the faster payments system today and it is being done the long winded way but within 48 hours should be sorted so they say and back to normal.

Makes sense, I have previously stated the withdrawal systems wasn't making sense, and I had a few withdrawals that were reversed due to technical issues on Wednesday night.

PayPal were forced by EU regulations to use faster payments, unless those regulations have changed (which as far as i'm aware they haven't) I couldn't see how they could justify making the change.

The guy was most helpful on the phone and said that they are having to do it the old fashioned way, bacs? until its sorted but he seemed to think within 48 hours it would be back to normal.

Any idea if this is fixed yet? Still getting 72hrs on all my accounts that are usually 2hrs

Received an email explaining about the problem with my withdrawal that I tried to do 4 days ago last night, it seems it was a technical error on their end so they have said. Generic email apologising for the BACS system rather than faster payments.

Apparently all payments from now are back to the faster service.

I suppose if your account is in good standing, then it's probably a glitch.

Here's a little trick I use. I click on wallet then withdraw money from there. This has always worked for me even when done immediately after getting thr 3-5 day message with the other method.

when it says 72 hours i go back on payment screen and i split the payment into smaller amounts and then they often go as 2 hour payments with no problems. A strange quirk of paypal
