| | | benny | 09-18-2014 11:45 AM | can you avoid wasting a bank account is there anyway to open eb seller account and see how many items you can sell to make sure its not a 0/0 before you add your bank account to your pp account to save wasting a bank account ?
maybe by adding a vcc to eb for fee's ?
i know you have to add your pp account but would it make a problem if you have'nt yet added the bank (but have done everything else, phone, vcc, etc)
hope all that makes sense, |
| Callidus | 09-18-2014 11:47 AM | Re: can you avoid wasting a bank account Explain what you mean - are you saying you are getting 0/0 on UK eBay accounts? If so, you are doing something very wrong. 0/0 has been an issue for US users but no problems have been reported for UK. |
| JamesNorth101 | 09-18-2014 11:47 AM | Re: can you avoid wasting a bank account Is this for a UK EB? |

what i have had is a brand new stealth account package (bought here) which was all done correctly and was fine until the first item sold and as soon as the payment hit pp (3.99) pp was limited and asked to confirm details etc,
but thats a different matter of course, and the same would apply you could check its ok before wasting a bank account |
| JamesNorth101 | 09-18-2014 12:20 PM | Re: can you avoid wasting a bank account You can sell on EB without having a bank account attached to PP. |

| Imakemoney | 09-18-2014 01:11 PM | Re: can you avoid wasting a bank account You are MUCH more likely to get your account hit with an MC999 doing this. |

| JamesNorth101 | 09-18-2014 01:51 PM | Re: can you avoid wasting a bank account Like I said, while it is possible, I do need to add that it is really far from ideal. An account that has not been verified it a very vulnerable account |
| RetroRedneck | 09-18-2014 03:35 PM | Re: can you avoid wasting a bank account But don't the majority of account sellers on Aspkin only verify the CC? I thought it was standard not to add a bank account? |
| JamesNorth101 | 09-18-2014 03:49 PM | Re: can you avoid wasting a bank account In the US a VBA can be used to verify an account, but in the UK a bank account is required.
A VCC can then be used to confirm the PayPal's address and used as a funding source |

Your account is more readily flagged by ebay.
You will be forced into making even more threads on here about your woes.
All big negatives.

Confirm this was a soft hold by paypal.

| ebay*merchant | 09-19-2014 11:30 AM | Re: can you avoid wasting a bank account What if you sell with a verified PP but one that no longer has a bank account attached? Does this reduce the risk or does it not make a difference? |
| JamesNorth101 | 09-19-2014 12:19 PM | Re: can you avoid wasting a bank account What would be the purpose in that?
You would still not be able to get funds out and the bank account could not be attached to another PayPal |

:spy: | nothing at all was changed, brand new ip supplied with package (i had to pay for setup and monthly charge) and same one as used to set it all up, brand new bank account, had browsing history, aged for 4 weeks, all verified etc etc,
but as said as soon as the 3.99 hit pp the account for the first item that sold it was limited, not able to withdraw etc etc, until i sent in docs to prove the details on the account,
the cost of the package was money i didnt like to loose but whats done is done and i have now returned to building my own stealth accounts, |

An account must be verified before docs can be submitted.
Bank account is needed to verify a PayPal UK. |
| isitworththestress | 09-19-2014 05:11 PM | Re: can you avoid wasting a bank account Now there is a thought, what if the account is made in another country then due to the person supposedly moving becomes a UK account?
Would it have to start from scratch with verification, as if it were a new UK account? |

Re UK sellers; it would be inconceivable that they would go to the trouble of attaching a bank account - I mean once it's attached you can't reuse it? | | All times are GMT -5.
