I am on the verge!!!!! I need help!!!!!

My Limitless ebay account for 10 years got suspended about a month ago and I have almost £30K worth of stock sitting in my warehouse with no platform to move them on.

Its the end of the month and bills need to get paid and this has put me on the verge.

I am not new to stealth - I have created a few Amazon Stealth accounts in the past - however I have never created or dealt with a stealth Ebay account.

I have read the book however I want to know what you reckon is my quickest way to getting back in the numbers on ebay.

Should I just buy one of those high limit accounts from the market place???

How much sales would you advise I do on these high limit stealth accounts??? I know paypal verifies you after £1,800

Any advise will be very much appreciated

I feel your pain.
Multiple accounts is your fastest and quickest option and absolute best for the long run. Spread the risk and slowly grow an army of accounts.

There are sellers in this world(maybe some on this forum) that sell old accounts with feedback and very high limits or white scree(no limits posted by ebay)

Dini, we are all on the same boat. Your best choice is to spread out our sell in creating multiple accounts. Your limit will grow slowly and you just have to be patient..

First thing you have to decide is to not repeat the problems that cause such an account to be suspended.

Why did that happen?

The recent change in how Ebay evaluates accounts.

Under the old system my account would have been fine - however under the new seller dashboard my account went straight to below average.

Number of opened cases did not use to count against you provided you resolved them in good time however on the new seller dashboard all issues that arise from a sale go against you - I still have a 99.1% (3900+) feedback score however I had too many cases

If you had them on that account, you are going to have them agin on new accounts.

Look over the business plan now and see what you will do to avoid issues again.

I would make that my first step before committing to moving stock.

ebay game has changed. Metrics are now more critical than ever.

Good Luck

Re: I am on the verge!!!!! I need help!!!!!

Unfortunately, this takes time, and it's a constant learning experience, things are always changing

Believe me many have been where you are right now, bills coming in but funds cut-off

I got into eBay a couple years ago because I was out of work and I decided to try it and boom money was flowing and just like you, I had an account with 100% feedback, and it was like time slowed down getting that mc999 and seeing all my listing removed

Felt like a gut shot

Luckily I was working part time at a restaurant so I went from 6 hours a week to 60 hours and it took a year for me to be able to slowly get back to selling full time again

So I know your in a panic right now, but there is no quick fix, it will lead to more information burned along with accounts time and money

There is just no way to get back to the normal way of what you were selling overnight and if there is I have not found it and while I been building my business the last 2 years I experimented along the way, picked up many great things, but even if I make an account with 100/$5000 limits, if I go full force and try and hit them limits within the first 3 months the account is burnt, usually very quickly the first couple days

There is a ton to learn, and than it just takes time to biild

Its hard, especialy if you sell used goods.
I.e. I sell used mobile phones and since the new system was introduced, my customers start to open "Item Not as described" every single time when they got a question about their phone. Crap. What i do -and it really helps- i send to each of my customers a personal message, i thank them for their purchase and ask to reply to this message if there is any problem with the phone, that i wil be happy to help bla bla bla. My defect rate went down from 10% to under 4%.

Great idea, I started doing this also a couple months ago, because assuming they don't delete there messages, if u sent one they are more likely to reply to that rather go through eBay's trap and make a buyer open up a case unintentionally

I thought there was a grace period until march 2015?

Unless you mean too many esculated cases that you lost.

I never lost an escalated case

There is no grace period - the new system became operational from August

Re: I am on the verge!!!!! I need help!!!!!

I started to do this when I realised what exactly was going on but it was too late for me.

Whenever customers want to contact a seller eBay forces them to open a case.

After they suspeded my account the reveiwed some of the cases and realised that most of my customers stated clearly they opened the cases by mistake - this brought my Defect Rate down from 5.98% to 5.07% but the damage was already done and there was no turning back.

Not really

I know my way around the new system now - However that came too late to save my old account.

If I was able to keep top metrics on Amazon for nearly a year I should be able to do the same on eBay

Bar stewards hinted there was a grace period.

Not happening that way.

You are all right. They have done away with it.

It was there in black and white on the ebay help pages not long ago, now it is not.

I feel for the likes of the OP.

Re: I am on the verge!!!!! I need help!!!!!

My opinon if you need to move fast is to buy an account which has already been aged a little and had the limits removed already.

I speak from experience if you get an account in a well established way like this, providing you treat the account well, the limits will increase better in the long run.

It also depends what you plan to sell and how much you earn per month. I needed to get back in very quick but also thought it would be a good time to start myself, therefore I made 3, bought 2. One was as described above the other was a high limit one.

Feel free to pm me and I can point you in the right direction :)

PNever rely just on one account - make multiple accounts and rotate sales OP
