Worth taking a look at Soho66, but I am not sure that they will be able to forward the call to the US. Never tried.

Do you have a UK bank account? You will need it for a UK PP

All i know is that every possible place in the uk is listed and i had to pay using american dollars. Hope this helps.

I'm from the UK but have spent much of the last 6 years in the USA. I was looking for a cheap way to call the UK from the US, and the service I use also allows you to create virtual numbers that forward to your phone. UK numbers that forward to my US phone are the cheapest ($0.99 plus $0.99 a month if I remember correctly), but you can choose from many different countries (USA nuumbers are $3.00 plus $0.99 a month). If you deactivate the number it remains in your account for a while so you can reactivate it if you need to. The other thing I like about the service is that it creates local numbers you can call that go to your international friends; no calling a number, entering a pin, and then dialling a number with international + country code etc. And it offers phone apps so you can use it over wifi.
