friends ebay account
 

A friend who doesn't use eBay anymore has said I can have their account.
He has said I can keep his postal address on there so I don't have to find another one but what I want to change is the paypal so I can obviously receive funds for sold items and pay invoices etc...

Can I make a new PayPal account now in a stealth name and add a new bank account which has never been used with eBay/PayPal and then attached this new PayPal account to his eBay account and remove his paypal altogether?

This is a bad idea.

It will not work. You cannot add a new PP to an old EB

Best thing to do is make your own account

Is there any way I can do this just to sell a few items until my stealth accounts get up and running? He said he doesn't mind what happens to the eBay account. I've sold 2 items on his already and the money went into his Paypal, he withdrew it to his bank and just gave me cash which is fine.

I was just hoping to not have to involve him as much as don't wanna annoy him. I'm assuming I can't add my bank account to his PayPal to make withdrawals? I suppose I can just send the funds from his PayPal to mine but worried this will flag up!?

Like I have said it should just not be done full stop. Your friend may well decide he does want to use it in a year or 2's time.

It will work however this may complicate things in the future if he decide to open another account

There is no benefit to doing what you have said.

Much better to go total stealth and take full control of your accounts.

unless hes got a power seller account forget it and start from fresh
