MC011 help please
 

Evening all,

Bought an account of a seller on here, very happy with it, took my time with it, softly softly, selling slowly, building feedback up.

Got a message of ebay to my email and through ebay messages:

Hello **********
We've noticed some activity on your accounts, and we need your help in verifying some information. We're sorry for this inconvenience, but while we're working things out with you, you'll have limited access to your eBay and PayPal accounts.

Depending on the situation, some of your listings may have been removed, and you may not be able to do the following:
-- Create new listings for certain items.
-- Withdraw/send funds from PayPal. (You'll still receive payments, though.)

To help us remove the restriction on your account, you'll need to:
1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Select the "My Account" tab.
3. Select "Resolution Centre."
4. Go to the "Action" column, and then click the "Resolve" button.
5. Complete the steps for each requirement.

Once you've completed the steps above, we'll review your information and let you know by email if we've cleared the restriction. Please understand that we may ask you for a few more details before we can get everything resolved.

We appreciate your help. We'll get this resolved as quickly as we can.

They've not ended my active listings, but can't list any new items
Logged into paypal, no issues in the resolution centre

Any ideas on what to do?

Your paypal account was meant to be limited.

If it hasn't, you could try contacting ebay in a few days asking them to remove the restriction. They may not be able to know if your paypal account was limited in the first place?

Could be wrong. But obviously you want to get the account restored.

Yep sorry to say it sounds like a glitch to me.. happens a lot with ebay/paypal.

yeah, want to get it restored, been taking my time with this one and don't want to mess it up lol

i'll give it a day or 2 then message them

logged into paypal, into the resolution centre.... nothing to do there!

It should definitely be a glitch. I hope they did not leave a cookie with that error on your computer.

Sometimes errors are only persistent because of a cookie.

Try restarting your computer and see if you can relist on eBay again.

If it is a cookie thing then you could just switch browser as firefox and internet explorer have different cookies.

If you want to clean cookies you could use ccleaner but you will have to clean your flash cookies manually if you have not turned them off for ebay/paypal

You can change check delete your flash cookies on the flash website if you don't like following links then just google your own way to Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Website Storage Settings panel
As you can see in the link you are looking for the flash manager

Sure someone else went through this same thing recently so it may be worth searching.

An update on this -

logged into paypal again today and they're asking me for proof of identity and address!

This is a bit of a problem as it's a stealth account and i have no way of providing any of the information

Any ideas?

You were linked somehow, this happened to me last year on a few accounts, the exact same message.

Why do you say he is linked?

His paypal is limited so naturally ebay puts this message up until he fixes paypal..

Sounds like the normal limitation you get when you first start receiving money, or unusual selling patterns etc..
