Getting rid of a negative

This buyer has given me a negative for a problem which does not exist. Basically he has misunderstood the instructions. He didn't bother to contact me first. I have lodged a complaint about him but what is the correct procedure to get this neg quashed?

Send them a message and ask if they would be willing to revise it.

eBay generally are not all that helpful when removing negs.

Hi James, don't you ever sleep ?. I have actually reported the buyer for misuse but also sent a message to the buyer asking him to re read the manufacturer's description. I would explain the problem in detail to you but it may compromise my anonymity.

I dont think that 'report' button actually works in my opinion.. i think its just a 'feel good' button.

Since i have seen a few people with over 200 positive ratings from sellers saying 'beware they don't pay & have been reported* and yet they still allowed to bid.

You can still leave negative feedback/COMMENT for buyers in the UK?

No, but a lot of people leave a positive feedback with a negative comment for non paying buyers.

I get warnings when this happens and ebay removes the feedback, sometimes makes me call them, but my situation is unique in some ways.

I saw a few of those accts too but they don't last long and all of their fb gets removed. This being said, getting negs removed by eB is hard, plus some of the reps will bull**** you to get you off the phone by saying that they will do it and it never gets done.
