What UK banks work best for paypal?
 

Hi!

Can you guys recommend uk bank/s that work/s well on paypal which I can apply online?

Can I link it to paypal with a different name?

Most uk banks are good. Use the co-operative bank, halifax, santander.

All can be set up online.

When inputting any data in to paypal, it is always your stealth data.

That message that says everything has to match the bank account holders details is false. They cant see the name attached to the bank account.

HALIFAX, SANTANDER, NATWEST, COOP, HSBC, ULSTER, NATIONWIDE, RBS, BANK OF SCOTLAND...

that's just a few. Loads that work well..

HSBC also works though deposit is a bit high requirement

I use CO-OP, never had any problems & they accept mismatch names which is a must:)

For UK
I'd highly recommend HSBC as that is both my personal bank and stealth account
I also use Nationwide and Santander
These banks are really easy to set up and you can be verifiying paypal accounts in no time

Halifax and HSBC for me are both a dream. Great banks to get started with

Co op, Thinkmoney and TSB are great and Halifax and Tesco Bank are not so good for me

Do you guys think savings account is okay for stealth? And why is mismatch names a must?

Some saving accounts work, some do not.

If your bank does not accept mismatching names they they may return the payment to PayPal and the gig will be up

Tesco savings don't like PayPal or mismatched names
they say its suspicious activity and in the small print they will close the account down after 30 days notice

HSBC is spot on for me buddy
Very good and easy to set up

Also Nationwide are rather good

Since you are starting out - get a feel with current accounts first

Is there a reason why TSB has been mentioned before as being a no no. Just opened a TSB account in preparation for my next stealth..Shall i leave it? thanks

They have been known in the past while still part of Lloyds to have an issue with mismatching name deposits.

So would you risk James?....or just forget trying. Ive used a lloyds before with no problems quite some time ago but the ebay linked to that paypal got suspended so its no use to me now on stealth

I've recently had trouble with Barclays, no good


Anymore recommendations on natwest/nationwide/hsbc? Are these 3 good for accepting DD mandate in mismatched names?

anyone know if theres any problems in Closing a bank account that was only opened a couple of months ago, but is now obv of no use..

But which bank does not need to switch With my account i am using at the moment? I need another bank account dont wanna switch my account with ( for example) halifax .. :-/ so well how can i apply for It on-line?
