How to use the EBAY APP on stealth
 

Hi,

So i did alot of research lately and everybody i seem to come across is like
OH HELL NO!
Alot of people say dont use ebay app as it links you to your previous accounts via IP address.
I believe this to be false.

So after trial and error (not many errors) I came up with a way to use the Ebay App on any phone without being linked, My proof?
I have used it for the past 1-2 weeks with no problem what so ever. I sell high risk items (I am a wholesale supplier of clothing) and yet i have not had one MC999 violation nor any other messages from Ebay. I have had 10-15 sales since i started.


If there is anyone who has been linked to there previous account whilst using Ebay App please message me as i will be very interested to hear your story

Here, in the forums, we recommend that you do NOT use the eB app - it is a dangerous application

Your method is totally flawed.

Its not being linked to previous IP addresses that is the issue. It the fact that the APP can see the unique identifing number assigned to the phone. They cannot be changed

Even if you remove all data and change your IP address ect the number unique to your phone cannot be changed (this is not a phone number, but a number unique to that handset)

DO NOT USE THE APP (no idea why so many people are hell bent on the idea of using the app, there is no need)

the IMEI, MEID, or ESN of the phone, which is unique to that piece of hardware.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but am I right in assuming a completely new iPhone for example a 5C could be used with the eBay/Paypal apps and a new stealth account? I imagine you'd have to turn location services off completely and of course run solely off of the phone internet connection, no shared wifi.

I'm thinking of trialing this. The main reason is the ease of use of the apps and I currently do a lot of listing on my phone, fits around my lifestyle better.

Brand new phone, used for one account, with no cross overs or links to other accounts will work fine.

If they collect location data, like the above image says, you better only have 1 account using the APP. Period!

Seems like if you had 5 stealth accounts, even with 5 different phones, the location data would link all of them together.

If you really need to use an app, just use the mobile browser.

If your using multiple accounts, make sure browsing cookies/IPs dont cross over as they'll link the accounts.
