Re: MyHermes quick send v Parcel2go

I use both royal mail and my hermes. The postal town does not concern me as such as very unlikely that eb and pp check these out. However, a manual review would be the only concern.
For my hermes collection, you print off two labels. First goes on outer parcel, the second goes inside parcel and has buyers address on and your collection address on. I cut out my address part and put the rest inside parcel. I do this just incase buyer is finicky and wonders why you are trading in say london but says your address is liverpool. I would be worried thwy would notify ebay of this so to safeguard myself i do this.
Another member says that if you drop off at a collection point, the original destination is missing. Not sure about that as ive never tried it :-)

I drop my parcels off at a local shop. I use parel2go.com which allows me to choose the company I want to deliver my parcel. I choose Hermes. Printing the label it ONLY prints the address of the buyer on half an A4 sheet of paper.

It sounds like the hermes website prints more details ie buyer and seller address.
Luckily i now have a real address to receive returns so the differing address is no longer a problem for me.

I find MyHermes quick send a faster option than parcel2go website and when u r sending over 50 parcels a day its a big plus :cheer:

Why is MyHermes quicker than parel2go? You can choose myhermes on the parcel2go webiste? Or am I misunderstanding you?

go have a look, it's like a price comparison site. you give the weight and measurements and then can choose a courier.
thats why i think using myhermes website and parce2go website will have same delivery time.

Will be doing soon as important lesson learned - don't trust eBay. I sell clothes on eBay and it is so easy to get defects and limited due to returns - many buyers can't measure themselves and then quote its not as described.

having linked parcal2go and eBay I am still able to sell on eBay Lucifer!
Despite parcel2go having my real address as a return and me having a stealth address on eBay.

As said earlier i believe eBay and Parcel2go only share eBay user name and possibly the Password.

Has anyone linked accounts using myhermes or other courier websites?

Yes i drop off my parcels and the label does NOT have senders address.
They advise you print two labels and put one inside in case the outside label gets damaged
I always add a sticky return label and then if buyer wants to return item they can just stick it on.

I may have to start using myhermes collection.
How quick do they pick up your parcels? Is it Next day? And is there a cut off time the day before? For example if i sold an item at 10pm would they be able to pick up the parcel next day?
Do they pick up at weekends?

Pickup is slow, take extra 1 day compare to drop . better to do drop, if you have cost cutter near to ur place drop there, take 2-3 days max.

Sadly I may be without a car in the near future. Four mile round trip (each way) walk to nearest Drop off point.

The prices have gone up on parcel2go when choosing myhermes.
They are advertising 5% added to your account if you top up £100 or more.

Re: MyHermes quick send v Parcel2go

Its still much cheaper than the P.O. and you have tracking included which I hope the buyer appreciates. I had too many issues with slow arrival and non-arrivals which caused cases to be opened when using the Post Office.
And I THINK adding the Parcel2go tracking number helps you get 5 star in communication on eBay - although other factors have to happen too.
