Speed of DHL deliverys recently?
 

Hey,

How has everybodys parcels been doing speed wise with DHL? Have they been taking a long while or does everything seem to have normalised after the strict September China had.

Its a hit or miss with DHL these days. Once they actually have the shipment scanned then its fairly quick, ours normally arrive in 3 days however the delay is from the sender getting them to DHL and the scanning taking place. I've had ones take well over a week and others take only the usual couple of days to get scanned at collection.

Then we have the dreaded chinese new year coming up as well!

and when DHL tracking says 'Shipment information recieved' what is your perception of this message?

February 19 is the next Chinese new year.

'Strict September China had'! I'm just getting a refund on my ali express items that have never arrived at all!

Jeeez thats not good, i have heard alot of people had problems within September, it took me 15 days but i received in the end

Had 3 boxes this week from USA. (Paid on Monday)
One went via Cincinnati and took 2 days.
Another went via Germany and took 3 days.

My parcels are coming from Hong Kong, been on 'Shipment Information Recieved' for 1.5 days as soon as it changes status its normally very quick, just needs to be picked up!!

That normally means that the person sending the parcel has only paid for the parcel to be sent.
It depends on what day they have asked for the delivery to be collected, then it will be updated once the DHL driver scans it on his van.

Shipment information received just means the sender has booked the delivery, this could be sitting like this for a day or even upto a couple of weeks in peak periods. I would suggest to keep chasing on your sender as they quite often book delivery so they have a tracking number then pretend to you its sent. The Chinese are not like us in the UK where everything is quick dispatch, they take there time with things so the best way is to constantly push them for updates to make sure it has been sent. Once it has been updated to saying shipment received then you know the courier has the shipment and the seller can do no more to push it on.
