Lift limits...are you an individual, sole trader or business?

Hi

I know there are threads already started on this but they don't answer my question.

I have a 1 year old stealth which I have started to use more recently but PP is asking me to reveal what type of seller I am: An Individual, A Sole Trader or a Business. The items I sell are medium value but I tend to sell a lot which brings in a high turnover so in normal situation I would describe myself as a business.

I have a few concerns: What will they ask me to provide? Is it different depending on my answer? Is it true that there is a 20% V.A.T. levy being introduced in January and does this apply to all sellers?

I apologise in advance if I have asked too much in the same thread.

Any help and advice is always very much appreciated:help:

I always like to keep this simple - Individual is best...anything more and they will sometimes want a lot more documentation from you.

You can run a business account as an Individual, it's the preferable setup.

They can be nosey with business accounts.

Be aware of that.

I keep it individual - and spread volume over several accounts at least

My stealth paypal account got limited this week but when I went in to see what steps I had to take to lift the limitation there where "NO STEPS". I have never seen that before. Any ideas ?

Lost many stealths this past week also, all 100% feedfack great feedback and no issues.
My assumption is they are checking public records. If they cant verify then selling restriction.

From what I have read the past week, that really wouldn't surprise me.
Check their policy update that came out, might shed some light on it

Which policy update?
Does this mean stealth is over or much harder? Even with buying accounts.

Read their latest legal agreement. Things are going to change for stealth, workarounds are still possible though

Is this ebay policy update or paypal update?
As the paypals have no restriction at all.

If no steps, e-mail or call them up - nothing to lose
