Fairly new to stealth - MC999 arrived!

hi

im fairly new to Stealth.

had a few acc's that were some mths old and all just got MC999 perm ban on same day.

I bought the guide and read it through first off, before I read the guide I had already figured some basics like Changing IP

I always used New & Logged IP's, separate windows user accounts etc, made no slip ups with those.

so one stealth started with cheap bits then had handful of Vero items on it, sold some with no complaints. however I did take similar pics (different background / different angles) for these using the same camera that I used when my real acc got banned

other stealths just had some cheap bits on to start off (these were similar Cheap bits though to my other stealth acc, slightly different style but same camera was used for one photo for each etc

I used the same camera for all Photos for all Acc's without Cleaning the photos (I didn't know til now about the EXIF Data thing) photos WILL BE Stripped in future!

also I was logging into one of the Stealths multiple times in one day with different IP's I was starting to become aware of this and did cut down on it to 1 log in daily with new IP shortly before bans

so im pretty sure I know why the acc with some vero's on it got banned,
but not so sure on the others which only had similar cheap none vero items on it, same Make but different style/models

is just changing your IP alone by resetting Modem all the time good enough? ive been reading about MAC address and logged my MAC today,
then rebooted my modem to change IP but when I checked the MAC address again this had not changed... could ebay have linked all my stealth's by seeing my Mac Address somehow?

thanks

Re: Fairly new to stealth - MC999 arrived!

Sounds like you got linked by the EXIF.

Nothing wrong with logging into an account 10 times a day with 10 differet IP addresses so long as cookies are in place.

No way they can see your MAC address so long as you have no eBay software installed.

Are you talking about MC999 selling perm restriction?
they didnt suspend it just not allow you to sell anymore?

If so I had recently got 1 6 months old UK account hit with this.
I called up they said the reason is I use drop shipping, account located in UK and shipped from germany. They claimed this may causes buyer unsatisfaction so I am out..

that account has over 100 positive with 100% rating and no low dsr ratings..I listed as item located in germany..nothing illegal..

Been shocked by this.first time happend to me.

eBay really do not like drop shipping.

It is one of the reasons we advise against it.

Re: Fairly new to stealth - MC999 arrived!

Drop shipping is a no no!!!
It's so easy, in fact, that at least a thousand other people are probably doing exactly what you are doing. Your market is already saturated before you even think of it.

Without a large moat, anyone can replicate what you are trying to do, and they probably already have. That makes it harder to break through the noise to get customers, and automatically adds a premium on any of your marketing costs.
2. Hard to Come Up with a Unique Selling Proposition

Why should visitors buy from you, and not from the other 100 sites selling the same product?

Since you don't handle actual product fulfillment, and your own product selection is limited to what suppliers will let you dropship, it's hard to answer this question. It's hard to distinguish yourself via customer service and shipping speed, since you don't have the product and are not involved in shipping it. It's hard to distinguish yourself via your products because...well...others are selling those exact same products.

You can try to be the cheapest, but that is a losing game. There is always someone else willing to go cheaper, and margins on dropshipped items can be tiny to begin with. You don't have a whole lot of flexibility. On top of that, many suppliers will have a Minimum Advertised Retail Price anyway.

On the other hand, with a traditional ecommerce business, your suppliers and inventory can help set you apart from your competition, instead of keeping you down in the pit of mediocrity.
3. You Don't Actually Save Much on Time, Effort, or Cost

The promise of easy riches is what draws a lot of people into dropshipping, and the inflated expectations eventually pop like a weak balloon, dropping them down to earth with a crash. The internet is littered with abandoned hopes, the soil of dreams salted with hard reality. This isn't limited to just dropshipping of course, but running an online business in general as well.

yes im thinking exif

I thought multiple log ins per day with different IP's would raise red flags...

after all, what logical reason could some one give for having so many new ones in the same day?

I thought a new IP each day would be much better, as so many people will power off their pc's and modem every night til the next day.... then their IP has changed when they go back online.
