First name incorrect Paypal
 

I have a Paypal account pending an ID check for lifting the receiving limits. When I set it up I put what could be interpreted as initials for my first name. When I come to change it to a proper name with the same first letter PP say it's a major change so it can't be done without contacting them. I realise now this was a mistake. What should I do? Try to get it changed or do the ID check anyway? Has anyone else done something like this?

leave it and get the id check done with the name u already have in place

When I created my PP I used some random names but when it comes to id check, I spoke to the lady on phone and explained that my name wasn't spelt very well in the account. She changed it to what I have on the id. No trouble.

it depends on what you did, you mean c.c instead of cee-cee which is nickname for cecilia ?

It would be ok on id check, but cannot be sure, depends on how they decide to interprete it, but a nickname or something is explainable, might be good to get on phone first and make the story casual and good.....

UK accounts can NOT have limits lifted if paypal is not verified.

You sure you sell on ebay co uk?

OP is talking of having limits lifted. paypal are stricter about info then.

Thanks everyone, yes PP is verified, I think I will call them about the name before I send in the ID check.

Some things I take for granted at times.
