UK Paypal permanent limitation out of the blue!
 

Hi Guys,

I have this stealth Paypal which was linked to Ebay for about 11 months, everything was running smoothly until a few of days ago. I received an email from Ebay initially saying that I should update 'reimbursements payment method' on my account, when I attempted to do that it took me to Paypal log in page, so i logged into my Paypal and there was a message saying the following: 'For reasons regarding Safe use of the Paypal we need more information about you and your account to confirm your identity. Then it says the following: This limitation cannot be appealed against.' It wasn't a big account only 80/2400, but I take it's game over for this account? I would appreciate any comments guys. Also the question is would Ebay be able to take automatic payment for the last invoice from that Paypal account?

Did you sell high risk items or send and receive money outside of ebay?

No, not at all, low risk items and not expensive £30-£45. Did not receive any money outside of Ebay neither. I am totally puzzled. Always had money in my paypal account as well.

Yes looks like account toast. Yes paypal will take unpaid invoice from your paypal balance. You will be able to access leftover funds in 180 days. - im in same boat.
Make more accounts is the only way forward.

So it says they want to confirm your identity...have you got in contact to ask them what they want from you in terms of proving your identity?

The trouble is, it says 'I cannot appeal against this limitation'. End of.

Good job I only left enough money to cover latest Ebay invoice. Next day PP limited the account.
