If a credit check is run on you for, say, a loan, would this show the number of bank accounts you have?

Full credit check does.


There are two types of checks.

Soft check and hard or full.

A loan application would delve much deeper than asking for another bank account.

Credit check by a loan company can see which bank you deal with but not necessarily the amount of accounts (from what my bank officer has explained to me) - mind you I am somewhat certain they could dig deeper...and I note the OP is from UK

I asked because, like me, many of you will have several bank accounts to cover the stealths. Some may well not have been used for a while since a stealth may have been closed down. Wouldn't questions be asked if a large number of accounts show up on a search? Another thought- If a stealth is closed down would it be feasible to close the corresponding bank account and open another with the same bank?

The only way bank accounts show up on your credit report is the following methods
1 hard inquiries
2 loans with the particular bank open or closed
Banks take privacy very seriously
