How bad is this?

Thought I had enough £ in account for refund

Turns out I didn't and the account took the money from my bank account. So refund still pending.

How messed up is this? Will pp really see my legit details?

Slightly different case as your account was burned.

1 time is unlikely to cause issues - as long as there IS money in the bank account.

PP can see legit details but unlikely to act on it.

Be careful moving forward

Name is seen BUT it is seen by a totally different section of paypal.

Is not usual for them to do anything unless the account is already flagged.

As a one off, you should be OK.

I have done more than one echeque with paypal UK & survived.

fas as i know, any debit that goes through direct form your bank will show them ur real name...

would that apply to me? my stealth got suspended, then they auto took fees in middle of mth and it has gone through from my bank with my real details.....

That could be part of the problem but we would need more details to discuss...selling risky items? bank had enough funds? this happened repeatedly?

yes to risky items, but no complaints / reports etc, bank had enough funds yes

One question I would like to ask is - how would you refund someone if you didn't have enough money in paypal?

I know these cheque things take about a week. But do paypay pal go to withdraw the money from your bank yhe minute you press the button our end? Or do they make the transaction a few days after?

It was a charge back case that was bound to go in buyers favor so decided to end it by hitting the refund. I had previously a few minutes earlier withdraw a huge sum of cash but thought I had a few quid to cover this. When I hit he button it weentirely through as normal. But when I gwent to home screen it said like 30 quid pending etc. So looked furthe into it and pp did a e cheque type transfer. Annoying. If they prompted me I wouldn't have done it but they didn't

It could take a couple days to see the transaction pulled from your bank account, it's not instant

Likely the risky items did your account in then.
