Had a paypal limited today
 

it seems i had a £100 returned from the bank and after that I got limited by PayPal
and all I can think of that may of caused it is that I lost my bank card and cancelled it the same day
and can i add another PayPal to this eBay account as it has high limits and I don't want to lose it?

if you add another paypal account to that ebay account, it will get limited as well.

The link is always there, even if you remove and replace paypal accounts.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. Do you know how quickly the account will get limited because even if it lasts a month I'd be happy :)

I didn't want to lose this ebay it a good one and need a break off ebay its been a hell ride lately and I will read it now

looks like paypal has contacted ebay because they have limited me today and sooner than I thought to be honest and I don't get mad when I lose an account getting used to it now!

Received confirmation that my payapl has also been limited today !

So pissed !!! paypal wrote me a long ass email detailing what is going to happened next !
I tried to call them but "Apparently they dot have any infer as to the reason behind it"
account was toprated seller 100% fb

You may find that when you go to list an item, ebay will say please sort out your pp issues. Happened to me.

Oh and the other pp will be limited without doubt, just hard to say when. I give it a week max.

Get yourself a copy of your credit report, it will tell you on there if you are.

Credit checks only show protective CIFAS registrations. If a financial institution has registered a first party fraud CIFAS warning against you, as would be the case if you'd tried to open an account in someone else's name, it would NOT appear on your credit check with equifax, experian or callcredit.

We aren't talking about first party fraud or anything like that.

You asked where you could find out in 20 minutes if you had a CIFAS marker. My reply was the CORRECT one. You never stipulated which type.

Hello, I'm afraid you are mistaken. The thread is about the use of other people's bank accounts and the opening of accounts in others names. These activities are first party fraud and will result in CIFAS flagging you as a fraudster and these will not show on credit checks, free or paid.

I'm afraid that your reply was incorrect as the information given is inaccurate. The method given will not inform an individual that they are on the CIFAS database, unless they registers themselves on it.

People, do not rely on this method to assure yourselves that you are not on the CIFAS database.

I wasn't aiming this at opening accounts in other people's names, anyone doing that needs their bumps felt.

I was merely saying that you can check for CIFAS on your credit report, full stop. Never at any time did I say for first party fraud that this is the BEST or most ACCURATE. I said it CAN be done.
