Wise (or not so) Idea?
 

I have an eBay from an ex partner, we split up 6+ years ago now and the account wasn't wanted and has not been touched in that time!

Just changed the e-mail address to one of mine (used a separate IP and dud details on email account)

I'd like to turn this into a stealth account as its not linked to Paypal or any bank accounts and has high feedback and no restrictions.

It has name on account and an old address, whats best way to go about changing this along with the user ID? Slowly over a period of time? I have details to set up a stealth Paypal and mobile phone number linked to nobody as its progresses.

An account cannot go from being non stealth to stealth.

It will always be linked to the original owner.

Once you are in ebay's/paypal's database, you are there forever. go stealth from the beginning.

So I could use this for another selling account?

I don't sell anything particularity dangerous (retro clothing/shoes) but could use a back up account.

Does eBay flag up name/address changes? Seems silly to waste the account.

Welcome to the forums - learn stealth and create new unlinked accounts.

As other posters indicated, you cannot turn an account into stealth...sadly.

the account is probably about 8-10 years old, the Paypal account it would have been linked to has been closed down I presume by ex parnter and shows no link on the ebay details. It has 200+ feedback and not been used for 6 years.

My ex partner does not want the account, so I wanted to know the best way to go about changing the details without eBay flagging it up etc, I presume if you change name, address and phone number in one go eBay will be on the look out!

paypal/ebay flag everything.

At this point you are not even in the running to make the account into a seller's account.

Whatever else you do, change NOTHING more. Start reading to learn stealth too.

Would really recommend you transitioning to new fresh accounts - this account is working right now but you need to learn stealth and avoid linking before using this account
