2 paypal accounts limited
 

well just had 2 paypall accounts linited and both

This limitation cannot be appealed against.
1 st one halifax bank account transferd 3 lots on money no problem
account aboout 18 months old fully verrified and the ebay account 100% feedback in good standing and still ok had no email from paypal just went in and it was limited.

2nd HSBC bank account made loads of transfers no problem , about 2 years old not verrified in the prossess had to do a name change on paypal just the ,,mt T .blaa to mr Tom.blaa never happened even with docs and again no e-mail just went in and limited,and ebay account perfect 100% good standing.

dose anyone know if i will get the money out of these accounts i cannot see anything on the paypall accounts,

Happened to me too a few days ago, from an account bought here.

Running it perfect for 6 months + no issues at all massive limits ebay account top rated.... Paypal limited with no email and no reason..... Write off! Luckily I had no money in it!

I will purchase another one, once they figure out whats causing these paypal limitations.....

Some Stealth's are being limited at the moment and its nothing to do with being linked
I am not sure if its a credit check or whitepages check but stealths wont exist on the database

Just because it will be harder, doesnt mean it will not exist..

No you miss read the stealth address are not on the database I have checked

I had 3 accounts limited with no emails and no appeal
and I am about to test the water with a new stealth

then go to the resolution page and this,,

What can I do while my account is limited?

update your account information
link a card
link a bank account
send refunds
use PayPal logos in your auction listings or on your website

What can't I do while my account is limited?

send money
withdraw money from your account
receive or request money
close your account
add money to your account
remove a card
remove a bank account

same on both accounts no e-mails, first i knew when a ebayer asked if it was still for sale
as item was buy it now and could not pay.
wrote two e-mails to paypal 1 for each account and no replys at all.

So no solid reason given for limitation? This has been happening a lot with UK PPs - several other threads ongoing

Any update of how/why all these accounts have been getting limited recently??

Luckily so far ive been ok, but keen to try and see if we know what the cause is.

Having read all the comments etc, most likely to be ppal checking "Electoral Register"..? Anyone agree?

Mostly only happening on stealth accounts that have ID documents uploaded to lift the receiving limits.

So you think they have a way of seeing which docs are bogus? Would be very difficult for them to do this imo..considering they are only scanned copies.

Unless they check with the relevant companies/authorities for legitimacy. But without consent these companies would not pass on a persons info to anyone.

Hence, im thinking maybe they are targeting the accounts with docs uploaded, and doing a CRA/Electoral Register check for these accounts and limiting the unsuccessful ones?


Just want to add, this is ONLY a thought having read much of the threads and reports from those with closed accounts. Any thoughts?

It has been known for some time now that PayPal would start doing extra ID verification checks on accounts, documents uploaded to them for stealth accounts were always going to be easy fodder for them once this started and the official start date for that is so close now they were always going to start dabbling with it beforehand

Do we have any idea on what type of checks they will be doing?

CRA checks most likely right?

Not really that clear yet exactly what the checks will be but there was mention on here of third party companies reviewing the uploaded ID documents to see how authentic they are, any that fail those checks would be gone

Hi, same thing happen to me on one of my account purchased in this forum yesterday we are more then 25000 fb and have more then 130,000£ business turn over every 3 month the ebay account was 10 years old but paypal was only 1 year old :( paypal was 100% verified, sent every 5 days more then 10,000£ to my banks without any issue from last 10 month lots of account activity, but now paypal limited only one email which says this

"Since this is a new account, we want to make sure your information is
secure. We need some additional information to able to confirm your
identity."

they have not mentioned any thing what document they need or how to upload , I have sent them an email but there was no reply :( I have been F**KED up now lot of stock no idea how to sell or where to sell :| they must have new system or check which filtering the stealth accounts now.

Is there any one know should I keep using my ebay which is 100% working no issue not limited ? Should I make new paypal and attach to it ? or what should I do ?:bored:

The only stealth I have left is the one with no docs uploaded as I created it myself and did not purchase it. If that helps.

@ Aslam NO do NOT attach a new paypal to the eBay account, it will automatically get linked to your limited paypal account, and will also get limited.

That really good eBay account is toast, Im afraid, unless eBay decide you do not have to accept paypal on listings.
