How many bank accounts?
 

Ok my bank natwest allows you to have unlimited saving accounts you can open them online, but I'm thinking if say I open a 100 they will think something dodgy is going on. And can eBay also find you if they really wanted to?

I mean they do have your bank account details after all.

Any one got mad amount off accounts, 50, 100?

I know most people on here are sensible and sell with a few stealth accounts with high selling limits.

But some people must make accounts to burn?

That's a given.

But there should be few stupid enough to have that many bank accounts with UK banks.

Very high chance of having problems from the banks.

I asked the bank they said I can open as many as I like but it would definitely get flanged if say I opend 20 your right green bean,

But am curious has any one got mad amount of accounts? Lol

The bank didn't say they said I can open them I asked them on online chat dout that my bank manager or clerks would have agreed,

I recon they would let you open as many as you like then properly flag you

Working experience is that the banks are making a generalisation it is OK to open big numbers.

It's preferable to have no more than 4 at any one bank.

Natwest I would not push either.

Are you talking online bank accounts? Or are you talking about local bank accounts? Or both?

part of being stealth is to go under the radar, having 50 or 100 savings accounts at one bank is dodgy and stand out. highly doubt anyone in their right mind would do it. but even more than 5 is pushing it in my opinion. you don't want to stick out as anything more than an average bank customer.

also a reason why many people go stealth is because they got shut down somewhere. if you were going to have all your accounts at one bank, what if the bank says they don't want your business or you get a call asking you to explain why you need more than 10 savings accounts. its best to spread out your stealth business with several banks as it will make you more nimble and if you have a problem at one bank at least you have another few that you can do your business with.

Checking or basic accounts are best for stealth and all banks have them, they are more acceptable to paypal, with the basic accounts no full credit checks are done so they suit everybody whatever their circumstances, savings accounts don't always have proper account numbers or sort codes so online payments cannot be paid into them such as one's from paypal, they need to have real account numbers and sort codes to have any chance of working for stealth, in the UK it is highly unlikely that anyone could ever have 50 never mind 100 bank accounts
