Having a c/card on file with EBAY...

just been reading the below... I know I used to have a card on file in Ebay on my old real account

reading the below its says its Mandatory?? ie, says you will be asked to Verfiy c/card info when registering to sell on ebay

but ive done this with stealth, and not been asked by ebay to add a card in there....

little confused..

Providing eBay with credit or debit card information

The following lists the only situations where eBay will ask you for your credit or debit card information or verification.

If you've been asked to provide card information for any other reason, especially if you've been asked to provide your card details via email, be suspicious and report it immediately to eBay. Learn how to recognise spoof emails.

When you become a seller, you will need to provide credit or debit card information as part of the eBay seller verification process. This is separate to the PayPal verification process. Visit the PayPal Help Centre for more information about PayPal Verification.

You can keep a credit or debit card on file for monthly automatic payment of any eBay fees.

When your registered card expires (we'll send you an email asking you to go to the eBay website and update your card information).

When you try to list an item, but you have no credit or debit card on file or your card has expired.

When you place certain bids, for example very high bids.

When you register a new user ID with a free email address such as Hotmail or Gmail.

When you add your credit card as your reimbursement payment method.

Most stealthers attach their verified and confirmed paypal to their (stealth) ebay.

Problem solved.

On to selling.

yes that's what I assumed..... but

the above taken from ebays own site contradicts that....

eB and PP are not known for always strictly following what they write...follow GB's advice and keep it simple

Has anyone added the same vcc from their paypal into ebay for this or a new 'different vcc'?

You just need to add a source that will pay fees and refunds, when you make a sellers account you have the option to add PayPal, CC, or Bank Account

Since you need PayPal to be able to Accept Payments than you just use the PayPal Option to satisfy this requirement

thanks rsot.

anyone else do this?

is it a good idea to do, for extra 'trust' reasons etc

also I believe PP/ebay know if the card number being used is VCC? and I recently read a post on paypals own forums were a PP Mod clearly tells the OP that use of vcc's in paypal will likely lead to problems at some point....?
