Cheapest UK PAYG for Light Use - Tethering to a PC

I'm just a normal Personal Paypal account user. I occasionally send money to people and buy/sell things on Ebay and on other websites. I've got a stealth Paypal account (only one I plan on having) with stealth details and I've read the stealth guide and fully understand it.

I don't want to use my broadband router to get a new IP as I don't know which IP was banned by Paypal. I don't want to pay for IP services as it's more expensive than just buying a cheap £50 smartphone (3G ZTE Blade III unlocked) and using a 3 PAYG sim card for internet access on the phone. It only cost 1p per MB of data which is fine for my limited Paypal transactions I do every month. Also you only need to make one call or text every 6 months to stop the phone from being deactivated and losing your credit.

The only thing is that the 3G is temperamental at times. Sometimes internet access is fast and sometimes it's very slow or doesn't work at all. Not sure if it's the phone or 3G signal causing the problems. It's no big deal but I was wondering if there's a way to tether a three SIM to my PC? Three don't support tethering for PAYG but was wondering if there's ways around that?

Or are there other cheap PAYG providers that support tethering? If so how much is their rate?

Or what about a dongle that supports tethering that I can plug into my PC. What sort of rates do providers have?

You can buy a cheap android and use upgrades to gt them cheap and buy a booster. A 500mb will cost a fiver and a gig for 7.50 which lasts a month.

Or a dongle is a good idea. In the past when i had a laptop, i used tmobile. Always check coverage for you area first to check your internet service will be good enough.
Sorry if thats not much help :-)

So 500MB for £5 but it expires after 1 month? I doubt I even use 200MB in a month as I purely use my phone just for buying things via Paypal so that would me more expensive than what I'm using at the moment.

What do you mean by "use upgrades to get them cheap and buy a booster"?

There are cheaper deals for 3.00 but not sure what set up is as always gone for the fiver one.
Upgrade your phone meaning you get it cheap without a sim. Buy a sim for a pound, buy a booster and away you go.
My latest phone cost me a tenner plus a pound sim and 500mb booster. Whole set up being 16 quid :-)

Can you elaborate please. I've no idea what a booster does.

What smartphone did you buy for £10, what sim and booster did you get?

A booster is an add on.
Just been on car phone warehouse and the phone in question is now 20 quid. The price fluctuates so it might be back to a tenner in a couple of days.
Its the LG....i use t mobile and ee sims myself and i go for the 500mb booster for a fiver:-)

Could you please post a link to the things you bought as I can't find the phone you're referring to.
