PAYG mobile broadband question

I've been using the EE mobile PAYG broadband without any issues. You get a new IP every time, but it's a bit slow.

I'm shopping around for another provider (hopefully faster speeds for my area), that also provides multiple IPs. Do they all offer random IPs, or is it just EE?

Thanks.

They have just been bought out by BT so that might go on to have some impact on speeds. My husband has an older iPhone than mine but he is with BT and gets far better signal strength than I currently do with EE, so I'm hoping for better things with speeds etc., when the takeover gets up and running properly!

BT use EE's network so it's unlikely you'll get better speeds with BT than EE.

If anything your more likely to get a slower speed.

No-one can answer what network will get you a better speed without knowing your address.

Every network offers a coverage checker. Have a look on them all and then make a decision.

3 are one of the more reliable ones generally.

Thanks. I'll just try them all and see how it goes. Just as long as the pool of IPs are big enough.

Best thing to do is to buy 1 sim card from each of the major 4 networks (EE, Vodaphone, O2 and Three). Load each with £5 and just see which network you get the best speed on.

All other smaller providers (orange, t-mobile, virgin, tesco ect) just piggyback off the major providers network so you will get no better speeds with them.

Thanks James.

Although I'm a tech-head, mobile broadband is my Achilles heel! I was initially put off by the prices of those broadband sims, as they're at least £15 a pop. I'll try your suggestion.
