Signing up a business account with ebay
 

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and think its great that a place such as this exists to help people fight against the struggles ebay like to create for us all. Please forgive me if I'm asking a question that should be obvious. Any help is much appreciated.

To sign up to ebay uk as a business, it asks for your business name aswell as you first name and surname. If I set up a limited company which acts as an identity itself. For example, 'Car Parts'. Could I use 'Car' for the first name and 'Parts' for the surname? I just want to know if they will accept this as a login as well as a name if they decide they want to do any checks etc.

Also the place where my premises is located has a strange address which is shown as a business name followed by some numbers like the example shown. Car Parts, 331 - 341 Manchester Road, M45 5AZ. Could I get away with changing the name and just using just one of the numbers to make the address different enough for ebay not to link my old account with the new one I want to create. Example of what it could be changed to, New & Used Car Parts, 341 Manchester Road, Manchester trading estate, M45 5AZ.

If I could do something like this it would be great to accept any returns. There are another 2 business using the same address, just with a different name and unit number. I am quite sure they sell things on ebay and haven't been linked with my account.
