eBay Suspended & PayPal Limited Forums - Best no-fee UK bank account?

Hey all, new to the forum here, glad to find a community like this one.

I'm in the process of buying a UK paypal + eBay account. I need to supply my own UK bank account (US citizen here). The UK bank accounts I've been looking into thus far require minimum monthly deposits to avoid fees. Are there recommended UK bank accounts which don't have these monthly requirements?

If you are based in US and want an UK bank account, I'd go with HSBC. They are GREAT with money, as you've heard from news.

As far as I can tell, HSBC has a monthly fee if you do not deposit more than £500 monthly into the account.

Just Google international bank and see what you come up with. It's difficult, if not impossible, to own a UK bank account if you live over there in the states.
