New seller account / feedback
 

I'll be listing some used books on a 1 month old eBay account, I'll be doing it to gain seller feedback. What price point is recommended? Do I start off with a 0p auction or 99p? I don't want a load of sales at less than £1 but at the same time I want the item to sell.

The account in question is a month old with only browsing history & is yet to be turned into a seller account, are used books a good starting point?

Let's answer this question with the power of logic:

If you need feedback because it's a new account, but don't want to sell anything for less than a £1, then why not start a listing for £0.99 so that you almost guarantee a sale? Even better, sell it so that you even offer free shipping and lose couple of pounds by doing so, but in return you'll get what you want and need: Feedback and good transactions because buyer will be more than happy with that sort of a deal.

You know what you want and I'm sure you know what you need to do to get what you want. Stop beating around the bush and just take one for the team.

What the price goes for depends on how.in demand the book is. If you cant afford for it to sell for 99p then start the auction the lowest price you can afford.

I personally start all new stealths off with a 99p auction. Imo it guarantees a sale and makes you look newbie.

Depends what your selling.

Bare in mind eBay do look for lots of cheap items being sold on new accounts and sometimes view it as feedback manipulation.
