New seller account / BIN or Auction

Is using the auction format instead of Buy It Now less likely to raise any flags or does it not make a difference? I'll be selling used books.

The account is a month old with browsing history, bids placed & 0 feedback.

I start with auction and then move to BIN.

Does not make a massive amount of difference though

What may cause trouble if you list 10+ quantity of a specific item.. they may want invoices etc.

personally i think listing as auctions is safer on a new account.
Where as listing all items buyitnow looks like you trying to make quick money.

I would only do buynow's when you have some selling history.

How slow do I list subsequent items? Do I wait for each item to sell? I don't expect the books to sell for more than £2.

Re: New seller account / BIN or Auction

In the first few weeks of the new eBays accounts life I would avoid any listings at all. After 3 or so weeks then a couple of listings a week is fine, slowly building up to a dozen a week. From there you just have to play it by ear depends on how the account seems to be handling everything and what sort of items you are selling.
