paypal Virtual number confirmation

Hi
I have just signed up for a virtual number of some kind which hasnt been mentioned on this forum. I provided the number to paypal and have used it to confirm my account. When they called i inputed the 4 digits and they said thank you, you have now confirmed the telephone.

for some reason though when i look at the limitations it is still asking me to confirm my phone number. When i click on it it has my number listed as confirmed and but still gives me the option to confirm again. So once i press call me now it says that a call has already been scheduled.

anyone know what is happning. I havnt recieved a email saying that you have confirmed your phone line. but it did say on the phone call that its been confirmed. It also says confirmed next to my number but allows me to change the number too.

am a little confused

call them

you could call them, if you cant call from that virtual number because your real number would show up, call from another number, preferably a withheld one and dial and dial 141 before hand, just to make sure,
not sure why thses glitches come up, often its a problem with their system, like when you put in a credit card it sometimes rejects it, but then does it ok a few days later with same card.
i dont think its a case of number not being close enough to address, like alot of uk people say on forum.

Thanks alot for the reply
I think i will allow it till ive done the penny deposits confirmation with them. Then see if its still showing up as one of the removing limitations. I hope its worked. If it has i will share it with you.

I was declined this virtual number at first. They put the order through then when I called them a few days later to see if it was set up, they turned around and said that they dont support this facility any more and your order has been cancelled.I told them that its been like 5 days and was told that i would have my number within 2 days. i went on to explain that im a company and need another number for advertising campaigns rather then giving my home line and i dont understand why the previous adviser couldnt see that this service is no longer supported. I politly asked him to check with his manager and explain what purpose it was for. After about 5 mins on hold he came back on and said that they will accomodate my request.

So im hoping im getting a number thats gonna work with paypal. The good thing is it only costs £1.75 a month and it has a minimum contract period of 4 months. So i thought its worth a go.

will keep you posted
