Unable to receive funds?
 

hello, I got an email from a buyer of a product I have listed on eBay and said he couldn't complete the transfer this was Monday. It said I was unable to receive funds. But I was still getting sales so I just put it down to his PayPal. But I got another message from another buyer saying the same thing. The paypals fine not been limited, (suspended what ever you wanna call it)just withdrew some money out of it today. All the limits have been removed. Any ideas?

You sure you got the correct email on the listing for the same paypal you withdrew from.

You could always try buying one of your items on another account you own and see if you blocked from paying? It will come up before completing paypal check out.

Yeah the email is correct. It's the same account I'm withdrawing from and I'm still getting orders and payments. Just find it strange I'm still getting funds going in but two people now have said I can't receive funds. I'll try that with another account. Thank you

This happens if a limitation is going to be put on your account.

Another pointer which affects this is, if you have setup and VERIFIED the Paypal but you never confirmed the email address you signed up on PayPal with, it wont let you accept payments, I am sure you have done that though?

Yes email confirmed. Had over 150 transactions going through no problems. I've just had one go through 20 minutes ago. The PayPal is still fine. I suspected the limitation, that's why I got majority of my money out. But nothing has happened. Sit tight I suppose and expect the worst.

I have seen this a few times recently.

It can be a glitch with the app (if they were using it to purchase)

This problem has come up recently on the ebay forum boards.

This happened to me last year.

Some payments where going through, some where not, four days later PP was limited, no appeal. At the time I didnt understand why some where fine, and some where not.

So Callidus is probably right, there could be a pending limitation on your account, get your money out NOW as a precaution.

I've had accounts limited before. But never seen this pattern before. I have always left 10% of my PayPal balance so not a lot in there now. I didn't want to withdraw the whole balance just to bring unwanted attention, in case this was just an error or glitch. Guess I just wait and see. Thanks for all the help.

Try to list a new item on eBay see what happens

Its not always paypal

Sometimes eBay do this and people are not able to make payments and eBay won't let you list any items.

When you attempt to list an item if its an issue with your eBay it'll throw up a message
