IP addy for ebay
 

Hi i bight a new ebay account from the classifieds on here but i need to reset my ip address...

Ive read the stealth book but im such a techno im having trouble,, i have my ip address from IP burger but then it goes wrong when i look for my router to do the rest

I am using a wirelss Bt connection on a macbook pro

all help would be appreciated thank you

May be worth looking at mobile tethering or dongles if you are having an issue with resetting your IP. Its much simpler

Swapping routers might be the easiest solution.

Mobile broadband usually gives you dynamic IP in the UK I think, although if you just run one stealth account its more convenient to just change your current one

02 mobile broadband works well, do check the area. IP range is very good as well. Having a large IP pool is advisable.

You can't and shouldn't change MAC, follow the above mentioned advices.

ok Dan ,, so if i buy a new bt broadband router i will get a new IP address ?

Yes, from what I undersatnd.

BT is known for having a dynamic ip address.

You can even check it by going to www.ipburger.com and switch your router/modem off and on again and see if it changes.

No you need more than just a new ip address to not get linked.

New ip address. New windows user account. New details to... nothing must be used on another account.

i have read ebay stealth and have created a new user account , bought a new ebay identity and paypal account , i am just struggling with the IP thing, i apologise for my obvious lack of knowledge, not all of us can understand it like some of you

I wonder this also. I moved address and had new Internet therefore no need for new router or anything but I use the same laptop which is cleared of all cookies and flash cookies....why a need for a new user account??

User accounts are used to separate multiple eBay accounts.

If you have just 1 eBay account and all cookies have been removed then thats fine.
