Uk ip address /sky router
 

Hi, I'm currently changing my ip address by use of the CMD function and the ip release command which involves me turning off my router for a few minutes each time, however this is becoming a bit of a pain and I hear that yoo can change the MAC address on your router as a quicker alternative negating the need to resetting the router,

Can anyone shed any light on this as I cant find this function with the sky router (possibly a netgear option instead) or offer a quick way to change IP address using a sky hub router?

Not possible with the Sky router I use so I would assume its the same for all Sky Routers.

Get a remote power switch. Saves getting up and down all day long :thumb:

Hi guys, this may sound like a stupid question BUT do you turn it off and make note of the IP address and keep turning it off until you get that ip again?

Its OK to use a different IP on the same account so long as cookies are in place

What you want to avoid is using the same IP for 2 different stealth accounts.

set up your homepage as ipburger which lists your current and past ip addresses.
