Landline numbers
 

Good morning all,

I have a few newish stealth accounts all connected to mobile numbers now I have seen a few people on here recently stating that they have had their PP accounts limited as they need a landline as well - same area code.

Should I take steps now to add these in?

Hope not richie2065, I have a couple of accounts ready to start selling on soon and while they both have landline phone numbers on them, they are accounts I bought from the marketplace, and neither has my local area code on.

Have you started selling on your accounts yet?, if you have and you have'nt had any problems over the phone numbers then looks like mobile numbers are ok to use.

Hi RosieTosie, Yeah I have been selling on these for around a week or so, I was just alerted by a couple of other threads by people who have been limited asking for landline numbers or supply documents

Guess that is a wait and see if any other forum members who have experience of just having mobile numbers on their accounts comment here for you richie2065, great to read you have got going selling on your accounts with no problems so far, you just listing couple of items in the early days?

Don't get confused with this.

This is a 'Confirm Your Location' limitation if you were to login from a different IP OR potentially not using the same browser with cookies in place. The PayPal bot may implement this limitation. You then need an area specific landline number with an AVS VCC or you can supply them Proof of Address.

Confirming with phone and AVS VCC is easier and brings less scrutiny on the account

I'm going through this at the moment, When you provide a landline number (I will use soho66) do you get a telephone call and if so in what form? Ie Human or robot? Pin Number?

Robot and you need to setup the phone number you buy to forward to a mobile or landline phone number

I log in with a different IP adddress each time as its stealth - however I am retaining the cookies on the profile so hopefully I wont come under this restriction - cheers for the input CALLIDUS,

Rosie, Yes Im listing around 5 items on 3 accounts at same time - each T-ebay account is between 2-4 weeks old now. Most are low list none branded - hoping to build them up

That's the way richie, I am just about to follow suit with my two accounts.

On the subject of soho66, I asked them about being to forward their call forwarding number allocated to me to my mobile number and was told it could not be done that way round.

Can you not just use a voip phone on your computer with soho?

To verify location I was told by Paypal I had to firstly add a new card and then confirm my address.
I did this but this gave an error and a message appeared saying i cannot add a card as i was limited (despite the page asking me to do so!.
With the limitation discussed you may have no choice but to send a copy of your driving license or proof of address.
I have sent PayPal a message asking them to allow me to add a card. I'm not hopeful of a positive result.
