Ebay Business Upgrade?

I created a ghost account a year ago, half expecting it to get closed down within 1 week I listed just a few things, dispatching them the same day via 1st class delivery I quickly got very, very good ratings. I just kept getting emails from eBay saying they're increasing my limit.

i got to like 100 items and thought I'm happy with that, to go further I knew I had to ring them up and tell them what I was planning on doing... guess not, they increased my limit and now I can list 350+ items and I'm pretty sure it's an £18k limit

I'm just wondering what peoples thoughts are on upgrading to a business account? i'm almost a top-rated seller which I never even planned on getting, I thought the account would be closed by now so I will be quite sad when it does.

Is it worth upgrading or too many risks involved?

No need to ever ring eBay to get limit increase. If limits get sold to then limit increase will come by themselves automatically.

You can upgrade if that is what suits your business plan. It means you can get a FFVs discount and you can get better prices on FVFs in some categories so it really depends what your selling as to if its the right move for your account.

It's definitley a good move fee wise, the fees are half of what I pay now. I'm just curious to know if eBay will be on my case more if i'm a business seller, i guess not?

Also I thought there was a certain limit you can get from automatic limits? I thought at 100 items you had to ring up to raise it?

eBay generally do not ask for any extra info when you upgrade.

PayPal do though if you try to upgrade that to a business account

Automatic limits will carry on pretty much indefinitely.

I'm going to keep the Paypal account as it is.

PayPal scare me, too many times have I opened my inbox and received the dreaded email telling me my account is now limited

So I'm absolutely fine to keep business eBay / normal Paypal?

Thanks for the info, I did not know that at all

Yes that is fine. That is how I have all my eBay and PayPal accounts and I have not had any issues.
