0 Item Limits on new Ebay Accounts
 

Hi all,

I have set up many eBay stealth accounts in the past 5 years or so and have tried setting up some new ones in the last 24 hours.

Unfortunately every one seems to be getting a 0 item per month limit. Is anybody else having this problem?

I had already created my Paypal account and added an Entropay VCC. I then bought 3 cheap items on the accounts using the VCC so that it shows my address as confirmed in Paypal.

When I tried to list my first item - a used CD - I had to create a seller account as I have always had to do and I entered the code when eBay called me (I used a Vodafone PAYG sim card). I then chose Paypal as my payment selection and then received an error message.

Now I have 0 item limit and I can't seem to increase it. I tried eBay chat but as usual they are about as much use as Mario Balotelli is for Liverpool football club.

Am I doing something wrong? I have done this many times in the past without problems.

Your help would be most appreciated.

Fundamental issues in account creation.

Write out exactly how you created the account for people to look at.

All sorted now. My limits were increased to 25 when I added and confirmed the bank account on Paypal.

If you did not do so in the very beginning you need to have your PayPal fully verified and if all "possible" a bank account attached as well before even attempting to list anything on ebay is the best thing!

Yes you are right and that is how I will do it in future. However, until recently I was able to open a seller account with a 10 item limit prior to the bank account being added and confirmed. Perhaps there have been some changes to eBay's system recently...

You still can open an account with 10/650 without even having a PayPal attached....
