Does my PayPal transaction have to show as "refunded" for Royal Mail compensation
 

Hi. I'm trying to fill out a claim form for an item worth £200 sent using special delivery. When I track it, it says it's at the delivery office and a something for you card was left etc. but buyer is adamant it wasn't so I sent out a replacement under the impression that il claim from Royal Mail. Now because I didn't refund, will Royal Mail still pay out the compensation?

Wrong actions.

You should of contacted RM and organised the redelivery, you can actually do it online.

You send out a replacement £200 item? insane! Hopefully if you put a return address on the box, then after 14 days it will be returned to you by RM.

RM wont allow a claim on a parcel that is being tracked at the delivery depot, not a chance.

Hi. When I rang rm to chase up the return they said I need to fill out the form and send it in. So why would they say that if it was a dead end?

And it's been over a month and it still hasn't arrived back to me.

You never mentioned it was a month!

If it is still stating at delivery office, then when you do the form they will put a trace on it, and attempt to find it.

If they cant, and there is still no signature to addressee, you will win the claim.

I wouldnt of waited a month, sounds fishy your buyer did as well, but fill in the form and you should get it sorted.
