Bank Account Stealth
 

Hi all, I apologize if this question seems silly however I cant seem to get my head around it.
I have browsed the forums, Including the subscribers section, and I have also read the ebay stealth guide. The only thing I want to know currently, is if there is a way to use a stealth bank account.

It seems so unusual to me for someone to remain anonymous from ebay and paypal, yet to have a bank account in your real name attached to them, if anything were to go wrong you would still be the one getting the short end of the stick due to your real account being attached. I know paypal cant see the name but at the end of the day, It WILL be on record that a Bank account that is in your real name was attached to ebay/paypal account/s that were shut down. Perhaps multiple.

Now I know people say leave enough money for your monthly fees in your paypal or in your VCC but surely there must be a way to avoid using your own bank account?

Hi,
there is not much "way around" it.

You need to have a bank account in your own name and be responsible for it.

You are not going to be able to hide your identity online or at least this is not the purpose of this forum.

You add a bank in your REAL NAME.

You only add UK account number & sortcode to the PayPal. You withdraw from the stealth account in the stealth name to bank in your real name. Most UK banks allow mismatched names, avoid Lloyds / Halifax.

Halifax is up for debate but recently they're joining their other half of the group in their ways.

There is no issue with attaching a bank account in your REAL name to an account in a STEALTH name.

So long as you are operating the account legally and not selling counterfeits or scamming people then you will have nothing to worry about.

There is no such thing as a stealth bank account since any bank application requires an identity check, either electronically or by submitting documents.

Ha.... never let paypal touch your own funds simply for ebay fees.

Use a vcc for that.

This thread should help you. It is a working option for many. (Mind, just as many will poo-poo the idea. But hey, you need to know your options ;))

Just to add, always make sure you leave enough money in your PP account to cover refunds, chargebacks etc, and pay your ebay fees rgularly so you know what is safe to withdraw.

The last thing you want is PP attempting to attempt to pull funds from the bank account, which will show the real name on the transaction, and come manual review time, I would expect the worst.

Pay fees in advance with a VCC - when opening a bank account, you can only do it in your REAL name - when you add it to PP, you can use stealth method
