Natwest Instant Saver Account

Hi all,

I've had a quick browse here to see whether a Natwest Instant Saver (NOT Access Saver) account is okay for stealth.

Some say yea, and a benefit is that it's easy to close online if needed. Others say after a few months its toast. Further to that, others say it doesn't do DD.

Can I just ask from those that have actually used it recently, does the NIS account work well? I've already opened it.

Thanks.

Yes it works but you should only add it 48 hours after opening it so that it sets up correctly or you get glitches and it btings up paypal errors when you try to add it before this.

You can close the account via natwest chat when you are logged in.

They dont accept the dd mandate but you can still withdraw from paypal with it fine.

Out of curiosity when was the last time you did the above?

Reason I ask is I attempted to do this a few months ago and they told me to go to the bank to close an account

I tried one last month. Withdrawals work fine. Direct debit setup fine because of code, but a week or so later paypal emailed me to say the account doesn't accept direct debits. However I haven't added a different account and it verified paypal for me :)

Natwest Saver is fine, and can be closed online now, once you are logged into your natwest online.

Well that's wrong .. You can definitely close the accounts online. Been doing it for a long time now. You probably got someone who doesn't know what day of the week it is lol..

Do you guys know of any other banks which allow you to close accounts online? I presume RBS is the same as Natwest in this respect?

Thanks
