METROBANK - Good option on PP
 

Hi Guys - (MODs move this if it's already been mentioned).

Some of you may be familiar with a relatively new bank on the UK high street - METROBANK.

I have a current account with them, and 4 instant access online savings accounts. I've run two on pp stealth now for about 6 months and they accept mismatched name deposits. One got rejected when i accidentally withdrew my entire pp balance the day before ebay took their monthly fees > they then tried to TAKE from my bank and pp emailed saying that the bank didn't accept the dd mandate.....it was fine though because i just added another bank - stupid error i know and a waste of a good uk bank but you live and learn.

Anyway, the point is they don't seem to mind you having mulitple accounts - never been asked and they open up online instantly. They're also open on weekends. At the moment mainly in and around London but def a good option for serious stealthers.

I would take care to move REASONABLE amounts of money through the accounts. Better to move a little at a time (by little, I mean a normal amount of money that a normal person would move) than to try to move $16,000 all at once. Larger transactions tend to draw scrutiny at the banks. Your goal should be to stay under the radar as much as possible.

Lots more branches opening this year in smaller towns / cities.

They do have some nice account types :thumb:

Apparently they can process foreign applications but...have to be at the branch :(

They are great I have 3 accounts with them takes about a minute to add a new one online plus they are open until 8pm most nights

open a standard current account to begin with. Then once signed up you can open up as many ISA (instant access accounts) - not to be confused with ISA tax free savings accounts - as you like.

Seems that they are not doing any business up North. Maybe I should pay them a visit when I'm down South, as I go there every other month or so.

Might do it, when I feel the need.

Have been twice, accounts were not opened although we have like 5 more accounts in other banks strange...
