Telephone calls and Sim cards
 

Hi Guys,
Can someone advise on the importance if any, of keeping an active phone line for stealth accounts, I currently have 3 all ebay/PP approved through a PAYG sim, I have only used these sims once on each account and now keep them in a box.
To my knowledge from my 10 plus years on ebay they have never tried to call me but always try to keep under their radar so to speak::spy:

I, like you, have never had a call from either company in that time but I do still keep numbers active on all my accounts.

For the most part, a non-working phone number is unlikely to cause a permanent suspension. Realistically it may only be temporary until a working number is sorted, however most genuine and trustworthy sellers are going to have active numbers, particularly if they operate as a business. I'm not saying that a non-working number equates to scammer but if the aim is to present a professional image to customers then a working number is essential.

I think it is also crucial moving forward to keep active numbers on accounts, given the phone verifications Paypal like to do when trying to withdraw money.

Handsets can be purchased so cheaply that it is a no-brainer not to have working numbers. If you plan to operate loads of stealth accounts, then look at Soho66 instead of having piles of handsets on your desk.

Many have not been called by either company.

There are users that have had calls and suffered hiccups in their ongoing business operations.

In the USA, there are massive problems for users without working phone numbers when trying to withdraw funds.

I prefer to not present any chance for either of the eBay/ PayPal monsters to interfere with my business. My phone numbers are all working.

In real life,businesses have working phones. I have to follow their ways too
