Suspended Paypal account on non-ebay sites
 

I used a Paypal account on a non-ebay e-commerce site and the Paypal account went down after it was linked to multiple accounts. Do I need to start again with a fresh seller account for the site I was using? Does Paypal share info with non-ebay sites?

Are you aware of all the companies eBay and PAyPal own? whats the company/site you are referring to?

It will share limited information. That will vary from site to site. A lot of the time changing the registered email address should be enough

I'd rather not say which one but I can say they are definitely not owned by ebay/paypal.

In my experience, just putting a new paypal on an ecommerce site, where the old paypal has been suspended, will not work. The site is linked by paypal to your old paypal account.

Tip: As Colfor says - if one owns the ecommerce site this can get you linked. However, a quick call to the host requesting that they change the site's IP address....then add the new PP and all should be well. Obviously this depends on the host you're using as some are more amenable than others.

Are you saying if the host doesn't change its IP address I will be linked?
