| Efftech | 06-05-2015 08:19 AM | Now there's no click and collect I heavily relied on click & collect because I repair smartphones/iPads etc and it was great for buying one off parts that I don't usually stock. I've got a TRS/power seller ghost account with 5* in every rating and like 200+ feedback and a huge ass selling limit.
This probably is a stupid question but if I spell my address slightly different and use an alternative town name or space the address out into two words I could help avoid getting detected if I use my original address?
I'm not all that bothered about selling anymore, I got rid of my leftover stock that I initially used to sell on eBay with. PO boxes are too expensive so I'm willing to risk ordering to my linked address if it means I can get away with it for a few weeks.
My PayPal is currently limited but it's a standard limit and I'm certain it will be back up in a week or so
What do people think? will I instantly get caught out? |
Ebayorbust | 06-05-2015 08:30 AM | Re: Now there's no click and collect Do not use made up addresses or manipulate postcodes.
Both ebay and Paypal are on to this.
You need a real address with a matching postcode. |
Re: Now there's no click and collect If all you want to do is buy, could you not just use a friend/family account? Incentive being you'll build up their feedback rating, because buyers can only get positive or no feedback for each transaction.
Any reason why your not able to click & collect any more? |

Any reason why your not able to click & collect any more? | click and collect is not an option for me, i thought they removed me.
there's nothing with it anywhere, not even in filters etc |
Re: Now there's no click and collect Working fine for me. Possibly there is a cap on the number of items/amount you can click and collect? Wait till next month to see if anything gets reset. |
Ebayorbust | 06-05-2015 11:42 AM | Re: Now there's no click and collect Efftech, there was a recent thread about this. I think it's an eBay glitch that affects certain browsers. Change browser and report back. |

Go to incognito mode/private mode on browser - dont sign into ebay and go to that item I just showed you.
Does it have click & collect option?
Then do the same when you have signed in.
This should help pin down whats causing it. If you dont see click and collect in both instances, then something it definitely playing up at your end. |

wired | 06-07-2015 11:45 AM | Re: Now there's no click and collect No click and collect for me either, on various platforms, browsers, machines. |
Re: Now there's no click and collect Warning now placed, apologies.
Click and collect working for me on various OS's, browsers, signed in ebay, signed out ebay. Really no idea. Would advise give them a call - but just ask general question, dont give out account details. |
Efftech | 06-07-2015 01:07 PM | Re: Now there's no click and collect I just contacted eBay and turns out they've removed the option at at random for certain users and they're calling it their pilot test. Who knows why but the test was supposed to end on the 5th and users who still don't have the option (including myself) are apparently experiencing a technical issue which is working on being resolved. |
wired | 06-07-2015 01:21 PM | Re: Now there's no click and collect That will be a right crapper for us to spend out accounts if that goes.
I was chatting to the woman in argos yesterday and she was saying the volume has been a nightmare, and so many go unclaimed. Maybe something to do with it? |

Will definitely be disappointed if it disappears now - only used it once and found it to be very convenient for when your not home to take delivery! |

If your read my post above it explains why it has been removed |
Re: Now there's no click and collect I can see how some peoplemay abuse the system, if there are too many unclaimed items being returned. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:32 AM. | |
