180 Day Funds Limit on Paypal
 

Hi All

Bit of advice needed..

Had one of my stealth accounts limited and had funds stuck in there. They mentioned they must hold these for the 180 days...

It is now been over 180 days by 10 days and i yesterday tried to log in to transfer out..but it still says account is limited.

Do i call ppal and ask why or will that make the situation worst??

Any comments welcom.

I assume this account was part of the PayPal 'cull' back in November / December.

You are going to be asked to provide them info most probably before funds are released.

You have to call them, and they do it manually, they don't seem to be doing automatic available to withdraw anymore, probably in the hope people either forget, or are to scared to call, so they get to add it to their already massive pot

Just called them,,,they are asking for passport and also a bank statement for the account its linked to.

I did upload some docs in the past (as my account reached the 1900 EU limit) but they were rejected hence the limitation.

The story never ends well currently when they ask for more ID...but its still possible, bank statement is easy, PP should be if you still have the photo you used for you DL, but unfortunately, don't get your hopes up :(

The same thing has just happened to me and the account was part of the PayPal 'cull' back in November / December.

I have just uploaded the same docs that I uploaded then and hoping they pass.

They asked me to provide a Passport this time as the lady i spoke with said "your drivers license you provided was a little unclear". Also my bank statement from the linked account.

Submitted last week but have not heard anything back yet...may give them another call today.

P.s. My account was not part of the cull in dec...it was limited as a result of reaching the 1900 limit and then docs being rejected! Not sure if that will make a difference at all but just an FYI...

This is just PayPal waffle I am afraid.

Your ID got rejected, which means they know you are phake, so submitting a new document really isnt going to help matters, which is what I said.

Its a tough lesson to learn, we all have at some point I imagine while stealthing.

But surly while you have cash in the account they are not allowed to keep it f a k e or not its not PayPals cash to keep. They were my items that I sold so now what I am expected to lose it?

Hi, this is a simple issue to resolve, once you receive an email after 180 days all you can do is add a US bank account and withdraw the funds, you wont be able to transfer the funds to another paypal account or get the account limit removed, if you need help pm me and I will help you out.

Erm, no he cant, cant add a US bank to a UK account.

rules are different with a south african paypal..

Also you can add a us bank account to a UK paypal, but only if you call in.
