Online creation of bank and card

[UK United kingdom]

Hi, ive read through the guide really quickly as i was on my iphone to get a basic just of it until i get it on my pc.
I'm just wondering, what is the best site to open a bank account online and virtual card at the moment.
Ive tried a few of those sites in the guide but the ones i tried want you to have an existing account or go into the branch, is there anywhere i can create the online bank account. Im not bothered about sending funds in and out of it, all my funds i take from ebay will be going out almost right away to suppliers and not withdrawn.

Thanks alot

Bank account > Any main high street bank other than Lloyds and TSB. Is there a reason you wanted to avoid going into branch? Usually its pretty straight forward when you go in

VCC > Entropay. Make sure you use your real info

I just live so far away from branches, but if i have to, i will for sure, is there any reason why Lloyds is bad, thats currently on my pp account now.

They dislike mismatching name deposits.

You can open a bank account online at every main bank. Santander, coop, halifax etc.

Usually takes 3-5 working days to receive your details in the post. Then you set up internet banking and away you go.

Be aware that Natwest will often need you to go in for your first account with them. I have found Barclays to be the same

Smile is really good for opening online as was Nationwide

I had no problems with Natwest and Barclays when I opened online, but Smile rejected me for some reason.

Seriously weird how different user experiences can be- I had no issues with Lloyds, same time other people were saying that its not the best for stealth etc.

Smile has been the only bank to reject me, I'm not even sure why as my credit score is right up there. Just one of those things.

Not gutted tho, as there are plenty of other banks out there to use.
