Default crazy sales up and down

Hi Guys hope all of you are good.

Was wondering if any of you could shed some light on my situation.

I have a product that over the last few months has increased sales every week so selling about 8 a day every day.
I have three of the same item with diferent acsessories. they where all ticking away nicely.
Last monday I add a nother listing same item but with slightly different extras, different price and different heading.
product ifor 80% the same as a nother listing.

Sales stop on all my listngs , from 8 a day sometimes 12 to 1 in 48 hours and about 6 in the last week.

Any ideas why the sales have taken sutch a hit?

Is it because i have 4 listing with similar items.

Any advice would be great .

Ebay may be slowing you down with your sales, competitors lowering their prices, end of the month (I notice sales drop a bit during the end), disputes, feedback etc all adding to your seller 'rating' on the Cassino search algorythms...

So many reasons! Do what you can to try and find the answer, more often or not you wont

Competitors might have chaged their prices, worked on their listings and tweaked their listings a bit so that they overtook you in sales, thus bumping you a bit more down the line.

...Most likely.

Thanks for the advice guys

The account is 100 % positive/ power seller with great dsr.

The only reason I am susspicious is that the last time I added a new listing with the same main item but different accessories I had the same crash in sales.

I was thinking maybey its due to the listings being to similar even though they have different prices and titles ?

All the compettiton is prity much the same but maybey its that.

Just thought I would put it out there Scared to start any new listings in future when sales are going good :0

Also do you know if EAN code could play a part of it? I have been prompted to add one on a few of my listings when updating , but havent updated my main listing yet so thats still the same.
For the updated listing i didnt put one just left it blank.

Thanks guys

One of the main things for me, when it comes to my eBay sales, is that you really need to pay attention to certain patterns, both the good and bad. If you have previously had this sort of experience with other listings, then perhaps just make a mental note, NOT to do it again in the future?
Like the old sayin goes: Don't fix something thats not broken.
If you are generating good sales, then just keep it going and if you know that adding another listing might affect your current stable flow, then perhaps consider not doing it.

I've had similar cases before, where something that ALWAYS sells for X and gets ton of views, suddenly is not selling and not getting the attention. I usually stop the listing, keep it off for X amount of time and whilst it's down, I generally try to improve the listing details and wording. Then I relist and hope for the best.
Sometimes it seems that eBay just funnels traffic, based on the account and based on your own account patterns- Seems that if you suddenly start selling something more than you normally do, it might raise few flags.
(That's my own theory, based on my experience and NOT facts)

Learn how cassini works.

Or as much as you can, lots of advice about how to beat or get the best of that terrible system.

This is the main culprit to sales, its not down to anything else really.

Competitors indeed might have caught up to you OP. Toss a product or 2 to forum ppl for evaluation if you like

do regular searches for your own items and see how they change in both best match and lowest price+p&p, also compared to competitors
