Son used eBay with hiding ip
 

Hi all, my son used my iPad to go on eBay with using my vpn. So he has one linked my stealth eBay with my home IP address, this ip is banned from selling, I'm gutted as my sheath account is running really well

Will eBay see the link or will I get away with it as it's the first time it's happened

As a one off you should be fine

Make sure it is just a one off though

It is always a difficult thing to have people on your computer network who do not understand stealth. They can easily trip you up, albeit unintentionally. I have my stealths on separate networks from the one everyone else uses. Eliminates the problem.

He never goes on my iPad as a rule but he wanted to show me something he wanted, did not tell me it was on eBay, just asked to show me, I've learnt a hard lesson, I'm so hoping the account doesn't go down

A one time off won't destroy the account but you should be extra careful now.

I guess it is also not very easy to explain why the "never from the iPAd" thing and this kind of question that family usually asks.
My son always wonders why, for looking for his stuff, I have to start VirtualBox and change IP and other things... neither him nor my wife would understand it ;)

For him my VirtualBox windows is a "magic" PC inside the other one.... I told him it is just for keep safe from viruses. This explanation intrigued him quite a lot :lol:
