Ah the Yanks wont ever get it, thanks Bunneh, thats a great photo :)

I also love the 'CENTRAL LONDON' part. No one ever writes Central London on their address.

How are you able to see the address? Hmm maybe I am missing something

wired 07-11-2015 08:51 AM

Re: A Little Funny for The Day...

on UK listings, all business sellers have to show their address , its on the bottom, under business info. Its the law. You can always catch Stealthers, or people selling dishonest things, as they have random addresses, or sometimes remove the number of the house/property and just have a street address.

Not seeing that address anywhere.
British humor is strange I guess...
Monty Python I get...
This - I do not...

Re: A Little Funny for The Day...

scroll down to the bottom of the ebay listing.. (where you normally click ask a question)

it says Business Seller Information.
Click on 'contact details'

and it will show you his address.

Its not strange, its brilliantly intelligent.

Its kinda like irony, I know you yanks have a tough time with it, along with Alanis misunderstanding it completely ;0)

Harrods, and Kensington High Street is probably the most expensive street in the UK, with 2 bedroom flats can exceed £10 million.

No Stealther selling £3 ⊗⊗⊗⊗ iphone headphones is going to be able to afford a property in that post code, and not next door to Harrods.

Hence the comment audacious.

Last time I checked this was the UK PayPal section...:)

How can you catch stealthers just by their address?
How do you tell a "random" address from a genuine one?

And not every property has a number. Some have names.

The only thing they need to know is that the address exists. Nothing more.
And you can use any address - it doesn't have to be yours. It really CAN be any random address as long as you have the necessary to back it up

You've posted on here several times with info and advice that is at best suspect and at worst total nonsense.
I think its you who needs to learn a few things.
Such as not to post such rubbish as saying you can spot stealthers from their address which is complete and utter tosh.

You continue to post "advice" that you claim is definitive when it's not.
And I believe I'm not the only one to point this out to you

wired 07-13-2015 03:22 AM

Comical. You are argueing against Bunneh who is a long term superior Stealther, and myself who is running accounts way exceeding your annual income especially with you £4.99 items.

As already shown, the other experienced stealthers also got the joke because any of us can spot Stealthers quite easily, address being one one of the ways.

Anyhow, this post wasnt about advice, it was a funny, but you have added to hilarity no end :)

I am still trying to figure out why you comment on all my posts, you try to discredit me by your own limited amount of knowledge, being a newbie. I think I have a stalker, I am flattered. Do you love me?

Re: A Little Funny for The Day...

The idea of stealth is to stay under the radar.

Using well known addresses is not conducive to stealth.

A little common sense is needed when creating accounts.

Looks like the guy has been trading there since 2007, I wonder what the rent is?? must have to shift a lotta phone cases to pay that off!!

IMO, it can be VERY easy to spot a stealth on ebay, if it is what I call a 'lazy' or bad stealth. Although for every 1 that I notice through my buying and selling, I am sure there are many I don't.

I do not agree your stealth address can be ANY that exists, if you take such a random approach sooner or later you may face problems. There are, however, certain things that you can look for when creating stealths that will give you an address that stands the chance of standing up to time better.

But this guys address doesn't exist, and doubt there are many or even any roads in the UK where house numbers go into the thousands, so would love to know how he has survived so long.

You really are the most clueless person on this forum. I'm not arguing with Bunneh - I'm arguing with you.
Yes - ANYONE can spot stealthers who choose silly addresses - but you said you can ALWAYS catch stealthers.

Once again you confuse time spent on this forum with time spent on ebay.
You also assume that length of service on this forum is an indication of knowledge of ebay stealth - that also is not true.

I've been an ebay stealther for 13 years and time and again you've proven that you actually know very little accurate information and provide info that can be countered within a second.

I'm sure your ebay accounts may earn more than mine but as I've been running my own proper business for 10 years I doubt you'll even come close to knowing anything about running businesses that involve employees rather than fly by night ebay accounts that rely on hiding your true identity.

When you can prove yourself in the real world aswell as ebay you might have something worthwhile to say.
I noticed that the last time somebody else also pulled you up on your "knowall but really knows nothing" attitude you didn't even have the balls to respond.

And you need to brush up on the concept of random address. It's not the same as an address that's likely to be noticed .

I don't respond to all your comments. It may seem like I respond to more than normal because you post inaccuracies so often.
Perhaps inaccuracies is unfair - as I said earlier - you post as if your response is definitive when it's not. You post as if your advice is the one and only option when others know it really isn't.

And yes - I've seen The Prisoner too!!

Obviously which is why most stealthers will use ordinary addresses.
Wired seems to confuse being able to spot stealthers with being able to spot "all" stealthers.

Clearly if someone used 10 Downing Street as an address they might be having a laugh and I'm sure that even Wired could work that one out - but most stealthers will use ordinary real addresses that do not belong to them that do not ring any bells at all

I agree if it's a lazy account.
When I said ANY address I assumed it was accepted a certain level of common sense was also necessary so you don't use obvious addresses.

You should change the word ALWAYS to the word SOMETIMES then you can celebrate a rare factually accurate posting.

Your post says you can catch all stealthers.
You can't
