Default book / feedback items for new accounts.

Hi all,

I have read a lot of places about what to sell on new accounts... low cost / home items ect charity shops.

However I just wanted to know what you guys personally sell just to start off getting some feedback.... (not asking to be spoon fed just got a bit overwhelmed with the amount of books / stuff in the local charity shop i went into i didn't know where to start).

I did buy a few books ect.... but Ill be honest I'm not a massive reader myself so not sure what will even sell!

Any ideas would be great... only cheap items that maybe ill break even on just to sell on new stealth account.

Thanks in advance!!!

Any sort of book works well. Just have a low start price and free shipping and they pretty much sell themselves. You may well take a loss on a few though but its worth it IMO

Anything unbranded from a charity shop works really well as well

I like to sell stuff I can just put in an envelope with a stamp on it.

1960 or '50 black and white original photos sells quite well and flea markets are a great surce for those.

Also collectible cards or postcards are good.

If you give free shipping you might have some loss (a few cents) but your sales goes very well.

yeah that's the only thing with books is sometimes the weight...

photos is a great idea something I can just run down the post box.... post offices in my town at least are sooooooo slow (really can feel my eBay account ageing).

Hi ilCarletto, old '50's and '60's black and white photo's eh, that's a new one, never seen anyone suggesting those as doing well for first time listings before on here, or anywhere else for that matter. Collectable cards and postcards are more obvious unfortunately to half the planet, guess they are a get up very early in the mornings and get to those flea markets first thing b4 anyone else else can get in and buy them all up b4 situation.

RosieTosie, b&w old photos from '50 or '60 are not that rare in here. You do not have to rush to get them.
You can find plenty and can get a bunch for a few €.
Some sell better than others (military or pin-up style) but all sells for a good feedback

You do not have to get the very rare stuff... you just have to get something that you can re-sell... I am the kind of person who goes there by noon

Go to pound land, buy some junk, but wisely chosen junk. Sell it for the postage cost and the original £1.

It works.

Dollar world is such a better deal, as a dollar is around 50p at the moment, we are getting ripped off for our junk!

Thanks for this, back in 2011 some people thought they were ok, but maybe ebay have started to crack down on them recently...
