UK Bank account with instant sign up
 

OK just wondering which bank accounts people recommend for the paypapl verification?

Ideally I would like to stick with a bank that has an instant sign up no visiting branch with documents / posting documents necessary.

The only one I know that dose have this instant sign up is LLoyds Bank Basic account however people say to avoid LLoyds as they have issues with PayPal deposits where the name is different?

Which banks do people use the most here?

Any bank can require docs or a branch visit

Smile is online and generally very straight forward.

HSBC is also very good IMO

Avoid Lloyds and TSB

Ok. i've been using LLoyds for some accounts as they seem to do all their checks online and never ask for ID.


Do you think opening 5 or 6 bank accounts a month is too many? :surrender:

It should not really matter if they ask for ID. If they do you just provide them with your ID

Yes 5/6 a month is too many. You should really not be going through that many stealth accounts

Well I am going for a low cost / high volume type of business and im trying to spread sales across many different accounts. Plus as my accounts are new im getting low initial selling limits, hence the need to get lots of accounts going.

if you are with the bank already, another account is often instant...

yes. if you are with hsbc. you can open few savings account instantly online.

I had to visit and produce documents in branch for my accounts.
Be interesting to see and try the ones which do not require this.

they all require docs nowadays, if you are new to the bank or the banking group. Sometimes online banks, let you post copies....

santander esaver doesnt require docs if u already have account with them

For you maybe, doesn't mean others won't need to supply their passport and valid form of proof of address. Some people may have to go into branch as well.

just wondering are you new to Hallifax group?

I realize now thats why Lloyds didnt ask for documents...its due to having hallifax account and they are the same group.

RBS & Natwest never asked me for docs, just had to supply passport long number when signing up to them.
